Assault, Abuse & Violence - Counselling in Leeds

About Our Violence Counselling in Leeds

Sessions are available both in-person and online.  If you do not live close by, online therapy offers convenience and flexibility from your own home(s).  Alternatively, I offer a comfortable environment within my home where you may feel you can leave your feelings and struggles for me to ‘hold’ until our next session.

Sessions can address experiences of domestic and/or sexual abuse.  We can look at how you see yourself as, for example, a victim?  An aggressor?  Something else?  Perhaps you are struggling to move on from a recent or historic event or pattern of events? Perhaps you encounter violence regularly in your work place either directly or indirectly?  You may be an emergency responder, an NHS worker, social worker, mental health worker, teacher, solicitor or a member of the armed forces.  Whatever your background, I am here to help.

Why Insight? The Process and the Sessions:

Please email, text or call to arrange an initial, free phone or zoom chat about your needs.  I will forward an assessment form to you as a guide to the sort of information we might discuss on the call.

There is no obligation to book a session. We might start by looking at when you first realised you were experiencing anxiety, stress or trauma related to specific life events and move on to explore the relevant relationships involved.

Types of Violence Counselling

Sexual Assault Counselling

Sexual violence is any unwanted sexual act or activity. There are many different kinds. Experiencing sexual violence can affect you in lots of different ways. I will work with you to understand what you want to get out of counselling.
