How To Get Started

Ways Of Engaging

I can offer face to face counselling, telephone counselling or video conferencing via Zoom.

Here are the considerations when deciding how to engage to best meet your needs:

Using remote methods, you can access counselling therapy from your own home at a mutually convenient time and place.  I use secure inscription software to guarantee confidentiality.

You would need have access to reliable Wi-Fi for Zoom sessions or a phone line for phone sessions.  These would be via an incoming call from myself.  Please consider where in your accommodation you would feel comfortable to participate.  Can you access a private space in which you won’t be interrupted?

Location

A warm and welcoming environment based in Guiseley, LS20, a short distance from the train station.

There are also bus transport links nearby.

What to Expect When you Arrive

If you choose to work with me face to face there is ample, free parking outside.

Please be aware I have an enthusiastic puppy who might like to greet you.

Please let me know if you might find that overwhelming and I can arrange for him to spend some time away.

Get Started

Many clients initially reach out via text or email simply to express that they are seeking counselling for themselves or someone else.

I would commonly exchange a few messages with you regarding your reasons for seeking counselling and your preferred method.

We can then book our initial session at a mutually convenient time.

During this we would explore more about your personal circumstances and you can decide if you would like to continue with therapy.
