About Our Abortion Counselling in Leeds

About Pre- and Post- Abortion Counselling:

Emotional distress can come from a lack of support. It may be easier for you to talk through your worries with a trained professional rather than family or friends. I offer both pre-abortion and post-abortion counselling to my clients.

In pre-abortion counselling you can discuss your feelings around pregnancy options. This can happen before booking your abortion appointment through your GP.  I will not make decisions for you. I am here to listen to your feelings and work on coping strategies. If you decide to have an abortion, you can access care at Insight. I want to make sure you feel fully supported through your abortion care journey.

Having an abortion can lead to a variety of feelings. Pregnancy hormones and stressful situations can cause a mix of high or low emotions. It’s normal to have a wide range of changing emotions; they may feel more intense than usual.

Why Insight? The Process and the Sessions:

I have a wealth of experience both personally and professionally working in the area of unplanned pregnancy and pregnancy loss. I am particularly experienced in the area of pre- and post-abortion concerns. I offer a safe, compassionate, non-judgemental space for both women and men who are struggling to come to terms with their particular pregnancy decisions and outcomes.

For some people, abortion is an experience which becomes a painful part of their lives, even if they felt they were making the right decision at the time. You are not alone; I can offer you support.

For women and men troubled by an upcoming or past abortion, I offer counselling to work through the emotions and challenges people are facing.

Clients often tell me they feel depressed or anxious, guilty or regretful. Others find themselves facing relationship issues. Counselling gives my clients a chance to explore and deal with these and any other difficult feelings.
